Creating a Sailor Profile:
After creating a User Account, go to the Sailor Profile page
- Under your avatar (upper right corner) from the drop down menu select My Profile
- In the bottom left corner of the page select the [+Public Profile] button
Once at your Sailor Profile
- Go Step-by-step to create a descriptive and engaging Profile
- Upload a Public Profile Picture and a private signal (flag) if you have one.
- In the Your Activities section be sure to indicate which on the water activities you participate in from the
drop down menu and share some detail in the boxes that appear - this information will appear on the front of
your public profile under the written description you provide.
- Write a short sailing/boating/yachting bio in the Brief Description of Yourself section.
- Upload a sailing resume in the Your Documents section if you have one. Also a great place to keep certification,
membership and World Sailing grouping documentation.
- Optional dietary preferences, allergies, clothing sizes etc. are used in team management and will be visible
only to managers of your teams and organizations.
- You may choose Hide My Profile - your profile will not appear in search results, but will remain visible to
teams and organizations of which you are a member.
- By selecting Allow to be Featured - Phlotilla editors may highlight your profile
- At the bottom of the page you will have the option to upload images and to create albums - create as many as you
like.
Some of the fields may seem odd or not for you. You are free to skip any field you like and they will simply be
omitted from your profile. However, if you are someone who sails (or hopes to) on various teams or serves on race
committees or as an organization volunteer you can imagine how useful this information will be to organizers.
